Terms & Conditions
🛟 Safety Regulations
- Lifejackets
- All riders and passengers must wear lifejackets (PFDs) provided by Jetski Cape Town and Wanderer Tours & Travel.
- Helmets
- Helmets are provided and recommended, particularly for minors or beginners.
- Killswitch
- Safety lanyard/kill switch must be attached to the operator at all times.
- Compliance
- Guests must follow all instructions from the skipper/guide without exception.
📋 Terms and Conditions
- Age requirements
- Minimum age to drive (with skipper supervision): 16 years. Minimum passenger age: 10 years (accompanied by parent/guardian).
- Height and weight
- Riders must be tall enough to sit and reach the handlebars comfortably with both feet secured on the footrests (generally ~1.4m / 4 ft 7 in). Maximum recommended weight per jetski: 220 kg (combined rider & passenger).
- Health and fitness
- Participants must be in good physical health. Not permitted if pregnant, suffering from back/neck injuries, epilepsy, heart conditions, or other medical issues that could be aggravated by the activity. Guests must be able to swim unaided.
- Sobriety
- Strictly no alcohol or drugs prior to or during the experience.
🌊 Operating Conditions
We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or shorten trips if conditions are unsafe.
- Jetskis will not operate in
- Wind speeds exceeding 25 knots (≈ 46 km/h); wave swells exceeding 2.0 m; poor visibility (fog, heavy rain, or dusk/night conditions); lightning, storms, or other severe weather alerts.
- Jetskis will only operate when
- Weather and sea conditions are safe and within guidelines, and the supervising skipper confirms conditions are suitable for the group's skill level.
👤 Participant Responsibility
- Rules
- Follow all safety rules and skipper's instructions.
- Etiquette
- Ride responsibly and respect marine life and other water users.
- Restraint
- Do not attempt tricks, reckless maneuvers, or exceed designated riding zones.
⚠️ Acknowledgement of Risks
- Operating or riding as a passenger on a jetski involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, capsizing, drowning, equipment failure, changing weather conditions, marine life encounters, and injury from other watercraft.
- Even under the supervision of a certified skipper, these risks cannot be completely eliminated.
- I am in good physical health and have disclosed any relevant medical conditions that could affect my participation.
🛡️ Safety Obligations
- I will follow all instructions given by the skipper or guide at all times.
- I will wear a lifejacket / PFD (personal flotation device) and other required safety equipment for the duration of the activity.
- I will not operate a jetski under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs judgment.
- I confirm that I can swim unaided.
⚖️ Release of Liability
I hereby release, waive, and discharge Wanderer Tours & Travel, its owners, employees, skippers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, actions, or liabilities arising out of or connected with my participation in the jetski experience, including any loss, injury, or damage to person or property, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct by the company or its staff.
🤝 Indemnity
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wanderer Tours & Travel, its staff, and associates from any claims brought against them by third parties arising from my actions, negligence, or failure to follow instructions during the activity.
🚑 Consent for Medical Treatment
In the event of an accident or medical emergency, I consent to receive medical treatment considered advisable by the company and qualified personnel. I accept full financial responsibility for such treatment.

- 30 minute experience
- 5 minute brief · 5 mins ride out the harbour · 15 mins free ride · 5 mins ride back into the harbour.
- 60 minute experience
- 5 minute brief · 5 mins ride out the harbour · 45 mins free ride · 5 mins ride back into the harbour.
🛑 Sobriety Policy
No one rides under the influence. Our team may at their discretion breathalyze any potential rider to ensure that we uphold this policy.
